On our way hom from a car show in Paducah, KY our street rod broke down about 25 miles north of Cedar Rapids on I-380 just past Exit 41. The highway patrol gave us the number of a tow service to call. Our angels were with us as we met Doc, Jerry, and Chandra. They took great care with our car in the tow -- ordered the custom parts we needed - had it delivered from Cedar Rapids, installed it and had us on the road in 2 1/2 hours! Doc said he had never worked on a car as beautiful, we told him we had never met someone whom we would rather have work on it. For Allen to let someone else work on the engine is saying something for his confidence in this man, and his skills as a mechanic, whom we had just met.
Meeting these three made our breakdown actually a pleasant experience. Thank you to Doc (mechanic), Jerry (tow), and Chandra (office). We appreciate all they did.

Our 1939 Chevy Convertible
My favorite time of year is from April - November when my husband and I travel in our 1939 to car shows throughout the US. From VT to TN, from MO to MI, we love to share this great family activity of street rodding with our friends.
We have been blessed and are humbled as our car has been honored with a lot of awards (including MSRA Street Rod of the Year, and several top picks), magazine print coverage, as well as internet coverage. And, the best part is - WE DRIVE IT EVERYWHERE! We do NOT trailer it. Last year, with our very special friends and their street rods, we enjoyed two weeks of gorgeous fall colors, the enjoyment of travelling attending car shows where we made new friends, and seeing our gorgeous country. We left from our home in MN, drove to MI for a car show, then up through Canada to Niagra Falls, then drove down through NY over to VT for another car show. It did take longer for all of us to go through customs at the NY and Canada border -- the booth agents wanted to talk about the cars. One of our friends was even pulled out of the line and we know it was because the agents wanted to look at his beautiful custom car a bit longer.
Both my husband and I are MSRA Safety Inspectors and love having the opportunity to view many in-the-works, and completed rods. If you have a custom or street rod please have your ride looked at by your local safety team.

DSWA Area Chapters and Success Circle Program
Each month, in cities throughout the US, Canada and Australia, members and guests gather to share ideas and encourage one another to achieve their dreams through their party plan or network marketing business.
A Success Circle is an informal gathering of DSWA members in your area. It can be formed with as few as 3 people and is often the starting point from which the group grows into an established Area Chapter.
An Area Chapter is a more formalized group that holds regular meetings and is lead by at least five individuals who serve as officers of the Chapter

How many lives can you live? I was just turning 50 when I first heard about Direct Sales. I had already lived and worked in 4 different countries. I owned a very successful manufacturing and retail business and had my first children’s book published.
At 50, as I emerged into the world of Direct Sales I had no idea that the next 12 years would take me to the top of a world-wide multi-million dollar company and introduce me to thousands of amazing, talented and gifted women around the world. I had no idea I would ride a Private Train once owned by an Austrian Prince from Prague to Salzburg, or I would have dinner at the House of Lords with a Lord in London, or I would be pampered and tended by a butler on a yacht cruising from Bora Bora to Papeete.
It’s been said that career transitions are a painful choice to reinvent ourselves. I believe choosing a career in direct sales at any age is the best and most exciting way to reinvent ourselves, and more than ever, there is a need for people to reinvent themselves.
