Our 1939 Chevy Convertible
My favorite time of year is from April - November when my husband and I travel in our 1939 to car shows throughout the US. From VT to TN, from MO to MI, we love to share this great family activity of street rodding with our friends.
We have been blessed and are humbled as our car has been honored with a lot of awards (including MSRA Street Rod of the Year, and several top picks), magazine print coverage, as well as internet coverage. And, the best part is - WE DRIVE IT EVERYWHERE! We do NOT trailer it. Last year, with our very special friends and their street rods, we enjoyed two weeks of gorgeous fall colors, the enjoyment of travelling attending car shows where we made new friends, and seeing our gorgeous country. We left from our home in MN, drove to MI for a car show, then up through Canada to Niagra Falls, then drove down through NY over to VT for another car show. It did take longer for all of us to go through customs at the NY and Canada border -- the booth agents wanted to talk about the cars. One of our friends was even pulled out of the line and we know it was because the agents wanted to look at his beautiful custom car a bit longer.
Both my husband and I are MSRA Safety Inspectors and love having the opportunity to view many in-the-works, and completed rods. If you have a custom or street rod please have your ride looked at by your local safety team.
